The Michigan PGA is celebrating the 31st Anniversary of the Michigan PGA Women’s Open Tournament . This year will mark 22 years the premier event has been held on Mountain Ridge at Crystal Mountain. But the fun begins Saturday, June 22 with the popular and always entertaining Michigan PGA Women’s Open Pro-Am. Grab your friends, family or co-workers for a friendly competition on the Mountain Ridge championship course and support women’s golf. Registration includes a tee gift bag, breakfast, lunch and tickets to the Pro-Am Reception and Awards.
Each foursome will be assigned a professional golfer from the Michigan PGA Women’s Open. Prizes will be awarded for Closest to the Pin and Longest Drive, plus 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes for the two divisions: women’s only and mixed/men’s.
NEW for 2024: There will be a playing professionals exhibition at the Golf Learning Center prior to the Pro-Am competition. All Pro-Am participants are welcome to attend as part of their entry into the event. More details coming soon!

LEAGUES AND GOLF GROUPS
Please contact us if you are interested in signing up for one of our golf groups or leagues. We have a few different groups that are looking for new players this year.
Thursday Morning Ladies’ Golf Group: This group meets on Thursday mornings at 9:00 am. They alternate between Champion Hill and Pinecroft. They play a variety of games throughout the season Their games are based on 9 hole play, although some of the ladies will stay and play an additional 9 holes after the game. Their first meeting will be on May 8th at Pinecroft. Since this is the first game of the season, we do ask that players come early so the group can get organized prior to their tee-time. New players are welcome at any time and are not required to play each week. Please email me at amy@championhillandpinecroft.com if you are interested in joining this group or would like more information.
Thursday Night Men’s League: This 9 hole league meets on Thursday evenings and alternates between Champion Hill and Pinecroft. You can sign-up with a partner or we can try to find a partner for you. The league will have a meeting in early May. The meeting date is sill being determined. The first match will be on May 15th. New players and subs must establish a handicap before they can play. Please call us for more information or if you are interested in joining.
Sunday Night Couples Night: This fun and informal group meets every other Sunday at 4:00 PM alternating between Pinecroft and Champion Hill. Couples of all abilities are encouraged to participate. Fun games are played each week with a potluck following the golf. New couples are welcome to join anytime. This season schedule is still being determined. Please call us for more details.
Season Golf Memberships
At this time we are able to offer a limited number of Annual Golf Memberships for the 2014 golfing season. We have two types of memberships.
1: The Unlimited which provides for unlimited golf during the 2014 season.
2: The Limited which provides for unlimited golf during the 2014 season except the months of July and August during which tee times are made after 2:00 PM.
All of our memberships are valid at both Pinecroft and Champion Hill and come with the option to purchase a season practice range membership for unlimited use of range balls and/or a season cart pass for unlimited use of a power cart.
All members will receive a 20% discount on regularly priced clothing and balls. Guests of host members will receive a discount on regularly priced greens fees.

WELCOME to the Inaugural Sleeping Bear Dunes Anchor Day Classic
Nestled among the most spectacular landscape in the United States and perhaps the world, this exciting new golf event will be hosted at the inspiring and challenging Dunes Golf Club. Golfers who regularly play the courses of the Traverse City area agree that the Interlochen Golf Club is one of the most scenic and lush course in the region. Laid out through a mature forest of large mixed hardwoods and white pines, Interlochen challenges the weekend golfer and lowhandicapper alike with strategically-placed bunkers and water hazards that make the course a club selector’s delight. Precision shotmaking and good course management are at a premium at Interlochen.
A mature course, the velvet greens and lush fairways of Interlochen are immaculately groomed so that the challenge is always fair. Golfers are also treated to the natural abundance of Northern Michigan Wildlife. It is not uncommon to see white-tail deer, wild turkeys and a gathering of wild Canadian geese. A peaceful tributary of the Betsie River winds throughout the course adding its own watery touch of beauty and charm.
The Toughest Holes
The back-to-back 12th and 13th holes are the toughest on the course. The 12th Hole is a 530-yard par five with water located on the right side of the fairway and in front of the green. There’s also a heavy swamp area in the back of the green. The 13th Hole is the number-one handicap hole. It’s a 455-yard par four. It takes a 260-yard drive to set up a good approach shot to the green. It’s heavily wooded on the right side so a golfer must stay left to have a chance at par.
